Opening — why this role, in one sentence

Name the role and the single strongest reason you are a credible candidate for it. No "I am writing to apply for…" preamble: the hiring manager already knows what they opened.

Pick achievements that map onto the posting's requirements and quantify them the way your resume does. A cover letter that repeats the resume word for word wastes the page; one that explains the result behind a bullet earns it.

Fit — what you know about the team
